The Founder and President of Pillar of Sports Youth Development Foundation, Temitope Ademola Obideyi, has congratulated Chief (Engr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Okanlomo Oodua and Gbonka Olubadan, on the occasion of his 58th birthday, describing him as a visionary philanthropist whose investments in sports continue to create opportunities for young talents.
In his congratulatory message, Obideyi commended the Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort for demonstrating that sports development goes beyond sponsoring competitions to building structures, nurturing talents and creating sustainable pathways for young athletes.
According to him, Chief Sanusi's contributions to grassroots football through Ilaji Soccer Academy, Ilaji Football Club, the Ilaji Football League and the JDS Football League have provided valuable platforms for talent discovery and youth empowerment.
He also acknowledged Sanusi's investment in sporting infrastructure, his support for coaching development and his efforts to connect Nigerian football talents with international opportunities through sporting partnerships in Europe.
"Chief Dotun Sanusi has shown that when people with the means invest deliberately in sports, they are investing in the future of our young people. His commitment to grassroots development, sporting facilities and international exposure deserves recognition and appreciation.
"As someone who is equally passionate about youth development through sports, I appreciate the value of what he is doing. We need more individuals who understand that talent alone is not enough. Our young athletes need opportunities, mentorship, facilities and people who believe in their potential.
"His contributions are not just about football. They are about giving young people a sense of direction, helping them discover their abilities and creating opportunities that can change their lives," Obideyi stated.
The Pillar of Sports Foundation President further praised Chief Sanusi for his sustained commitment to using sports as a means of bringing communities together and promoting the image of Ibadan and Oyo State beyond Nigeria.
