Popular Kano-based political commentator Ibrahim Khalil Dan Shagamu has reportedly been killed at his residence in Kano State.
Dan Shagamu, who operated under the name Dan-Shagamu International, was known for his social media commentary on political, religious and community issues.
Reports of his death emerged on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, with Amnesty International Nigeria condemning the incident and describing the circumstances surrounding his death as disturbing.
According to reports, his body was discovered at his home after he was allegedly attacked by assailants.
The circumstances surrounding the killing, including the motive and identity of those responsible, remained unclear as of the time of filing this report.
