The Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) has confirmed the successful completion of an operation undergone by its immediate past President, Prince Adewale Adeoye Elesho.
The association, in a health update signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Prince Adejonwo Oluwafemi Femson, said Prince Elesho is currently stable and recuperating well following the surgery.
The clarification comes amid several reports and speculations circulating on social media concerning the health of the veteran theatre practitioner, including claims that he was battling skin cancer.
The association, however, did not confirm the cancer claims, but stated that the operation was successful.
“We hereby confirm that the operation was successful. He is stable and recuperating well,” the statement said.
ANTP also expressed appreciation to family members, colleagues, friends, fans and well-wishers who had called, prayed and shown concern over Prince Elesho's health.
The association acknowledged the outpouring of love and support, describing it as deeply valued.
Prince Adewale Adeoye Elesho is a prominent figure in Nigeria's theatre industry and served as the immediate past President of the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP).
As he continues his recovery, colleagues and admirers across the entertainment industry are expected to continue wishing him strength and a full recovery.
