The Ibadan Sisters of Innovation (ISI) is set to celebrate its first anniversary on Saturday, September 5, 2026, with a series of activities combining humanitarian service, recognition and membership development.
The anniversary celebration will take place at Omo Aj’orosun Hall, Ibadan, and will feature the presentation of awards to distinguished individuals who have contributed to society and supported the organisation’s vision.
As part of the anniversary activities, members of the organisation will also visit a motherless children’s home on Friday, ahead of the main celebration, where they are expected to make donations and provide support to the children.
Distinguished Nigerians to Receive Awards
The organisation is expected to honour nine distinguished personalities during the anniversary celebration.
Those listed for recognition include the President-General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Barrister Sulaimon Ajeniyi Ajewole; Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli; Chief Abiola Alli; Alhaja Sariat Olorunero; Chief Mrs. Sekinat TolaniKawo Adelakun-Akande; Mogaji Kamalden Salawudeen, President of Omo Aj’orosun; and Chief Yemi Saladoye, who will also serve as the Father of the Day.
The event will also include the screening of prospective new members, as the organisation continues to expand its membership and build a stronger network of women committed to community development.
A Celebration with a Humanitarian Touch
Beyond the awards and celebration, the anniversary is expected to highlight the organisation’s commitment to giving back to society.
The visit to the motherless children’s home and the planned donations will provide an opportunity for members to mark the milestone by extending their anniversary celebration to vulnerable members of society.
For the Ibadan Sisters of Innovation, the first anniversary is therefore not just a celebration of one year in existence, but also an opportunity to recognise supporters, welcome new members and make a meaningful contribution to the community.
The organisation is expected to welcome dignitaries, members, invited guests and well-wishers to the anniversary celebration at Omo Aj’orosun Hall on September 5.
