Ibadan Mega Voice (IMV), an association of Ibadan indigenes in the communication and creative sectors—including broadcasting, journalism, blogging, information management, music, theatre, and related fields—has officially commenced activities marking its 3rd Anniversary with a special Jumu’ah Service.
The prayer session was held at Al-Maroof Central Mosque, Old Ife Road, Gbagi, Ibadan, where members gathered in thanksgiving and supplication ahead of the week-long celebration. IMV is an affiliate of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).
Imam Charges Journalists on Truthfulness
In his sermon, Alhaji Qosim Delesolu, the Imam of the mosque called on journalists and media practitioners to uphold truth and fairness in their reportage, noting that society relies heavily on the media for accurate information.
He prayed for IMV members to experience more years of progress, unity, and success in their professional callings.
The Chairman of the mosque, Alhaji Al-Maroof Oluyole expressed his gratitude for finding the mosque worth of their Thanksgiving, and offered members the association
a sumptuous meal after the prayers.
IMV President Expresses Gratitude
Speaking after the prayer, the President of Ibadan Mega Voice, Aare Kola Olomide, expressed profound appreciation to the mosque’s chairman, leadership, and the entire congregation for their warm reception.
He assured that IMV would uphold the Imam’s counsel, especially as the association continues to grow in influence and visibility across Oyo State and beyond.
