A pregnant woman in Akure, Ondo State, has raised concerns over the sudden disappearance of her husband, identified as Victor Temitope Akinsipe, an operative of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps.
In a video currently circulating on social media, the distressed woman was seen crying while holding a placard at Igbatoro Road Roundabout, the route leading to the Amotekun Headquarters and the Governor’s Office.
She narrated that her husband has been missing for about a week, after leaving home to honour an invitation reportedly sent by the Amotekun Command.
According to her, Akinsipe had told her he was heading to a “peaceful meeting” at the Senior Staff Club, Akure, following agitation among some operatives over the delay in issuing official appointment letters by the state government.
> “My husband told me the Commandant called them for a meeting to settle the issue of their appointment letters. He left home and up until now, I have not seen him nor heard from him,” she cried out.
The woman appealed to the general public and relevant authorities to assist in locating her missing husband and ensuring his safety.
As of the time of this report, no official statement has been issued by the Amotekun Corps regarding the situation.
