In a remarkable academic milestone, Professor Ogechi Adeola, a Nigerian scholar and Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Kigali (UoK) in Rwanda, has been named among the world’s top two per cent scientists in the prestigious Stanford–Elsevier Global Scientist Ranking (2025 edition).
Prof. Adeola, who was recognized for her exceptional contributions to the field of Business and Management, emerged as the only scholar from the University of Kigali and one of 14 Rwandan scientists featured on this year’s global list.
Announcing the recognition via its official Facebook page, the University of Kigali celebrated the achievement, stating:
> “The University of Kigali celebrates the recognition of 14 scientists in Rwanda named among the world’s Top 2% most influential researchers in the prestigious Stanford–Elsevier Global Scientist Ranking (2025 edition).
We are especially honoured by the inclusion of Prof. Ogechi Adeola, Deputy Vice Chancellor at UoK, for her outstanding contributions in Business and Management, standing out in a list largely dominated by health and medical sciences.”
This recognition places Professor Adeola in an elite group of global researchers whose academic output and citation impact have significantly advanced their respective fields.
